About this cartoon: Donald Trump assumed the presidency after several weeks of dismaying Cabinet picks, hot-headed tweets, opaque behavior about his finances and off-hand comments that alarmed allies and opponents alike. It was clear he wasn't going to treat the presidency with the same reverence as past incoming presidents.
